Rip Michels Racing is proud
to announce a new Driver Development & Leasing Program. The team
currently has two (2) Super Late Models and one (1) SRL tour car to
run both Irwindale and the new track in Bakersfield, Ca. for the 2008
racing season.
These cars have the best of the best in equipment. All cars have
top notch Freighttrain Peters engines, with chassis by Victory Circle,
Hightower transmission, Penske shocks & wilwood brakes. Rip Michels
and his 8 time Championship winning crew will prepare the cars. This
is a full service operation, including, but not limited to, Driver
Coaching, PR, Transportation, Car Prep, Sponsor Hospitality, and Race
Day Crew.
Rip Michels was asked the question as to why he wanted to start
this program now? “I have been approached almost every year to do a
program like this,” said Rip Michels. “I have thought about it, but
always declined because I wanted to use only the best equipment and
people, and we now have that. We can provide a driver an opportunity
to be competitive right out of the gate, not just ride around and get
laps without being competitive. I didn’t want my name on it unless I
knew we could provide the very best service.”
“This program is not just for anybody, we only want drivers with
competition racing experience, and they have to be a minimum of 16
years of age. My team and I will approve those drivers who we believe
have the talent, speed, but most importantly the heart and desire to
want to win races. Make no mistake, top of the line racecars are not
cheap, and neither is our program. Our program is for funded drivers
that want to elevate their careers to the next level, and victory lane
is the only way to get noticed.”
