Stock Building Supply is proud to announce that they have resigned
with Rip Michels Racing, Inc. for the upcoming 2005 AutoZone Elite
Southwest Division season. This comes after a very successful
first season as Rip captured the 2004 AutoMeter Rookie of the Year
honors. He finished seventh in the final points standing with 7
top tens and one top 5 finish. Rip also finished second to Eric
Holmes in the invitation only NASCAR Toyota All Star Showdown.
“We are really pleased and honored that a company like Stock
Building Supply would use our team as a tool for their marketing
needs,” said Rip. “We have developed such a great relationship
with all of our sponsors. People like Rick Smith, Manager of
Motorsports Operations, who have been so supportive and it gives
us the opportunity to do what we all love so much, which, of
course, is to race.”
“We are really pleased to be associated with Rip Michels Racing,
Inc., for the upcoming 2005 season,” said Rick Smith, “Rip and his
entire team understand the importance of marketing their sponsor’s
product and have done a fantastic job of promoting our company,
along with our marketing partners. NASCAR racing is an excellent
tool for Stock Building Supply to use for marketing our company
and creating name recognition. We have several events planned that
we are going to promote for the upcoming 2005 season, including
two Home Improvement Shows at Mesa Marin and Irwindale in
conjunction with the Southwest Series events. This gives us an
opportunity to reach our customer base and help promote our
vendors and the products they produce and distribute.”
The team is currently putting together a brand-new 2005 Victory
Circle chassis for their first race of the season, which will be
held at Phoenix International Raceway on January 30, 2005. “I
really want to thank Susan, Les and Rick from Victory Circle for
building us an awesome chassis,” said Rip.
“It doesn’t seem like there has been much of an off season for us,”
commented new crew chief John “Cowboy” Schuetze Jr., “After we got
back from the Showdown we completely tore apart the 2004 car for
fresh paint and a few new additions. We are in the process of
getting both cars ready for Phoenix. All of the guys on this team
are great, they all have given so much of themselves to this team.
It is that kind of dedication and hard work that leads to winning
races and Championships.”
Rip Michels Racing, Inc., is also proud to announce the following
list of Associate Sponsors:
