Rip Michels and his Stock Building Supply/ Victory Circle Chassis/
Chevrolet racing team will be participating at the opening night
ceremonies at Irwindale Speedway this coming Saturday night in the
highly competitive Super Late Model Division.
Rip and the team will be competing at the track where Rip has the
most career wins (38) and championships (3) of any driver since
the track opened in 1999. The team returns to the track on the
heels of their 2nd place performance in the Invitational Only
NASCAR Toyota All Star Showdown back in November.
“We’re really excited to be going back to Irwindale Speedway, “
said Rip. “This gives us an opportunity to try different set ups
that we can hopefully use when we come back here for the AutoZone
Elite Southwest divisions races.”
“We were only able to race this brand new Victory Circle Super Late
Model car twice last year,” said Shop Foreman Boyd Brown, Jr. “We
had one win and a ninth place finish, so we are really looking
forward to being competitive.”
“With such a long hiatus between races in the touring division,
racing at Irwindale helps us as a team to sharpen our skills and
to get a rhythm going. Our last race was in January, so this is a
great opportunity for the whole team,” said Crew Chief John
Schuetze Jr.
The Stock Building Supply Racing team’s next race will be on April
9th, at the famed half mile track of Mesa Marin Raceway, located
in Bakersfield, CA. Stock Building Supply will be hosting a Home
Improvement Show that weekend. Look for our upcoming press release
for more details.
